Help SpaceShare create a guide to planning and traveling to events as green as possible, gathering and sharing information from other experts when possible and create our own information as necessary, then get it to many thousands of people to help them be greener travelers/planners.

How do I replace a standard phrase, like "Input format" with a new phrase including a logo/html? I tried the translator, but it treats html as text.

Nevermind -- function l( in common ruins the html. It can be reset to allow html, but not with the translator. I'm stuck rewriting the forum.module

When I first heard of carbon offsets, I loved the idea: a very committed, thoughtful person used them to reduce her guilt about the impacts she couldn't change. Since then they've been drifting into the old paradigms that got us into this mess, "Carbon Indulgences" letting us sin. Even at their best, they work like this: a windmill farm creates some electricity. They sell the electricity to someone who says, yeah! I'm using wind power!

Integrate Green Traveler Library (lonely in the Forum, probably to be removed), spaceshare.com/green (not part of Drupal yet), and the green travel user-contributed tips.

Apparently agent is the job-title for someone to find sponsorships for us. I'd be happy to find anyone from a professional to a student sponsorship agent -- a short volunteer role would be calling 10 sponsor agents and seeing if any would work with us on commission (or commission plus advertising.)

These are the very earliest notes on a presentation for the Whole Earth Festival, hopefully to be repeated at other festivals, helping "relocalize" the large events by getting people to connect with neighbors interested in the same types of solutionism.

Looking for someone to work with Stephen to re-create this presentation and help give it!

Section 1: Introduce SpaceShare, how we green festivals, and this low-tech version of it.

Section 2: Lots of volunteers needed, get everyone to move into a map of Davis, Bay Area, and beyond.

Section 3A: Neighhborhood improvements.

We need a "landing page" for people interested in festivals, and eventually one for people interested in conferences... these should be the equivalent of our "home page" but more focused... when we write an article or have an online ad in a website about festivals (we do, which is why I'm prioritizing this), our homepage is very vague. SpaceShare will be leading a workshop at the Redefining Wilderness conference in April in San Francisco (at SFSU), hoping to launch a national carpool-to-the-wilderness system.

Stephen would love a co-creator for this project (good for an undertasked intern?)

Could become something amazing, be one of the co-founders of something that becomes national and well-known, great resume/contacts.

(This is unpaid for all involved. A good "Help me get funding and share in it" possibility.)

* We're begining to work with Drive Neutral https://www.driveneutral.org/friends?=spaceshare who are working on a conference carbon calculator that will do the whole thing. From them, I can get the rest of the details soon, but the online calculator isn't launched yet. I can probably put this on our website in another month or so, maybe sooner. I can get you their estimates for how to calculate your conference's impact by hand (somewhat complex to really determine what should be counted), as well as for travelers. I'm talking with them - if you tell me more specifically what you're looking for, I can try to make it happen.
