I have two homeschooling teenage sons and look constantly for good contacts for responsible citizenship and areas for volunteering. Look forward to reviewing your newsletter and seeing how we might help. We lived in Big Sur for many years and now live in southern San Joaquin Valley. We belong to some biking groups and wonder if these would be considered potential green sponsers?

Hi Deb,
Great to have you and your kids involved! It would be great if you spread the word through your local biking community: we want to help people without cars be able to get rides to fun and activist events. Also, for some festivals we encourage people to find matches on our system to bicycle together. So if the bicycle clubs ask festivals to have carpool and bike group sites and send them our way, we can help them get rides to far away festivals, and recruit neighbors on group rides to closer events.
For "green sponsors" at the festivals, we usually need businesses that can fund the greening programs in exchange for publicity. But we might be able to provide publicity for a bike club if they helped volunteer (in their bike-club shirts) at one of our carpool booths.
