Take on a larger volunteer/intern/partnership role -- but I need guidance about how to fit in

initially I need a safe place to live. Shelter and food. I want to participate in positive initiations of green culture. As a homeless 24 year old i find myself taking care of the necessities. I want room to explore artistically, painting and making music, which is a spiritual pre requisite for my contentment and well being. TO be apart of a larger solution for the problems is something I've been working out for a while. I participate in volunteer locations. As far as integrating into already established communities, regardless of their agendas, it seems the emphasis is on me reaching in rather then the community reaching out to new participants.

My question..... WHo should I contact to help guide me into integrating into the community. Will my basic necessities be taken care off as well as the patience provided for the training to really help the community and the planet?
