Current status/to-do of music sites for ally contact
====================
* Music
JamBase -- communication in progress (informal, pr type, but to audiences and to festival organizers)
Festivals.com -- need to decide what to do here...very commercially based, are we selling something or how do we want to approach this?
Mojam -- perhaps okay for a partnership, still appears as a for-profit thing, but not community based. Doesn't appear to be a heavily commercialized website.
MusicToday--multi-faceted site, very commercial, mostly providing services to artists and labels. There is some information about ticketing services and that's where SS might fit in. I say we need to take a similar goal to that of festivals.com
MelodyTrip -- Has informal forum/community, possible to get PR inside of site in other ways. Kind of community/kind of commercial. Perhaps can use JamBase like approach, with a vit of a mix of festivals.com.
San Fran Late Nite Commission -- this will require a more non-profit to non-profit type of approach, where we can solicit our services to events -- esp. given transpo is not available at night, and carpooling may be an excellent option.

More updated information is available in Michael's contacts.xls file; this page is unique for describing our goals with each org, however, this post is old, and new discussions with Mary and Stephen may have yielded new contact/publication ideas
