Carpooling Skit - playwright and performers needed

Here's where we are: among other actvities, SpaceShare builds online carpool systems for festivals, we're getting close to one every week during the peak season. About twice a month during the summer we go to festivals and talk about green issues (see photos attached). We want to step-up the outreach efforts. A lot of those festivals let us on stage to make announcements - especially if we had something more exciting to say.

Where we're going: We're looking for both a playwright and performers, to create a skit, hopefully funny and at least entertaining, about carpooling and other greening. Kachina Katrina has offered to help with theater training! It'll need to be quick, I don't think we'll have too much stage-time snuck in between the main performers. I think that a good skit is likely to help attract the performers, it's probably the first step. There ought to be thousands of young folks who'd love the chance to get on stage and be famous at the festivals. If it can incorporate other greening activities, that's great -- carpooling seems to be the one big one that people kindof know what to do but need inspiration. After the skit we'll likely quickly review other greening -- like pointing out the composting etc at each festival, something that really does need explanation now that some fests have plastic-looking corn-starch utensils, but most festival organizers are going too crazy to realize they need to do more education.

My really poor first effort:

Backdrop: a cut-out of a car.
Five chairs are brought on stage,
two “front seats” and three “back seats.”
Two long haired liberals/hippies take the front seats.

Narrator motions towards seats:
This little hippy voted for Kerry, (first hippy waves)
and This little hippy voted for Dean, (second hippy waves)
But this empty seat funded Karl Rove,
and this empty seat sent someone to Iraq,
and this empty seat cried oil, oil, oil all the way here.

This first version written by computer programmers, can you do better? We need versions for non-political festivals (enviro messages but no Bush mention.)
